Volunteer at Cromer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Cromer!
To begin the volunteer process, you’ll first need to Register as a Volunteer with FUSD. Head to the FUSD Website for more information!
To register as a volunteer with FUSD, you’ll need to complete a Volunteer Packet (en Espanol).
The Volunteer Packet requires a minimum of 2 reference checks. Please bring your Volunteer Packet to the front office at Cromer and we will perform the reference checks for you.
Once your references have been checked, the last section of the Volunteer Packet includes a Notarization Form. You are welcome to have the page notarized at an alternate location. Alternatively, Human Resources at the FUSD DIstrict Office is available to notarize on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
Once you have completed your application, including references and notarization, bring in the completed packet to Human Resources at the FUSD District Office (3285 Sparrow Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86004). Human Resources will email a confirmation to you and to Cromer that shows you are ready to start volunteering! Please check in with the school site to begin volunteering.
Sign up to Volunteer at Cromer using Axe of Service
After you’ve submitted your Volunteer Packet and been approved by FUSD’s Human Resources, you can begin your journey of volunteering at Cromer!
To streamline volunteer requests, sign-up, and tracking volunteer hours, FUSD & Cromer have partnered with NAU’s Axe of Service! Whether you wish to volunteer at the Book Fair, Cake Bingo, or simply help out in your child’s classroom, you can sign up to volunteer through Axe of Service in a few easy steps:
- Create an Axe of Service Account
- Under Agencies, search for Cromer Elementary School
- Browse our page for specific Volunteer Needs throughout the school year. Or, to provide more frequent help in classrooms, recess, lunchtime, etc, sign up for our ongoing Volunteers at Cromer Elementary
- After clicking on the Volunteer Need, select the Respond button to let us at Cromer know that you are interested in volunteering. If you’re able, please provide additional information about how you’d prefer to get involved in the Notes section. Then, submit the response!
- Now that we have you signed up in Axe of Service, contact the Cromer front office to confirm your volunteer start date and where you’d like to help out
- When you arrive to volunteer at Cromer, our front office staff will help you sign in through Axe of Service online
